Van Halen reminds me of catholic school beatdowns by nuns, salesian brothers, and crazy-ass white boys in souped up Monte Carlos. But back in the day it was common for Excelsior heads of all stripes to rock a sideways cap listening to Rappin 4-Tay or EPMD while wildn' out on some mean air guitar ala Metallica or Death Angel. Word to my Pinoy metaleros!

I found this same VH acapella a few weeks ago and I have been trying to find a good instrumental to use with it. Chitown kids were the same... eazy e, beastie boys, biz markie... and Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, Ratt... It was all about the square mirrors with the band logo that we would win by popping balloons with darts when the carnavel would come to town.
